Drop Dead,Diva!

On my quest to find a t.v. show that i could geek out on while still harboring my son in my fetus I started with a show called "Dead like me". I can't say that it was the best show but it was pleasantly mind numbing enough that i could watch it on a regular basis. To my surprise this show has literally disappeared from netflix like it never existed. That, as strange as it is to me , wasn't a huge blow to my day. I decided to give another show a day in court. I noticed that Netflix had suggested a show called "Drop Dead Diva". I looked at the cast line up and noticed "OMG, Margaret Cho". So I started on with episode one season one ..like anyone would. This show enraged me. Let me tell you , A model and an overweight girl die on the same die and the model goes to the pearly gates where they figure out she has never done one really bad thing or really good thing. She breaks the rules by pressing the return button and is placed in a body back in the world. The body belongs to a very smart, successful lawyer woman. The catch? Shes fat. The model has a hard time with this . I mean a really really hard time. The way she harps over being fat is so fucking insulting it makes my head spin. Not to mention the fact that she really rather be dead then fat. The upside to being this other woman is that she is really smart. Ok...so heres the moral kids ..Its better to be dead than fat and if your attractive you are shallow and dumb. There is no such thing as a fat,happy,successful woman or a thin,attractive, non shallow ,dumb woman. Drop dead! Drop dead diva!

confessions of a sugar addict

I was diagnosed with Gestational diabetes recently and have to check and report my blood sugar levels to my dr every week. So far I havent been put on meds but on a low carb, low sugar diet and it sucks. I want a cupcake or icecream but my dr says those are no gos!! I never noticed how much has sugar in it these days and I have been very good not eating sugar things but its so fucking hard. I feel like a drug addict! ARRGGGG I WANT A SNICKERS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hooray 40!

Today is my baby Neil Sarver aka The Bleeding Tree's Birthday! The big 40. He certainly does not "look" it. I know that is a semi touchy subject with him, I am by no means saying that he didn't earn those forty years , I am just saying that he is very handsome and has a youthful glow about him. I met him on the bus almost two years ago and though it may seem to be moving fast to some I feel this relationship is moving at a perfect pace. When it feels right ,it just does. I digress back to the coolest subject ever. NEIL <3 . He will make a wonderful father and makes a wonderful man and well hell he is just wonderful.I am so lucky I get to spend this joyous occasion with him. Heres to another forty my love..may they be forty times better than the last! LOVE YOU

The pits ...

I rarely shave under my arms because i hate the way they feel when the hair grows back. All stubbly and itchy. So most of the time ,I just don't . Also I am super lame and weird and like to see how long i can get it to grow before I just cave and shave it. The thing that I don't understand is the reaction that I get from people in public. People assume not only am I dirty and must smell bad..(cause you can't shower and not shave as a female?) but they assume that I am a man hater.(because body hair means that you hate men?) I am treated like a militant man hating smelling asshole or a hippie lesbian. Well let me tell you, I am a little hippie like but I didnt get pregnant hating men and im sure in the hell not a lesbian(not that theres anything wrong with that) ask my fiance. I like the way it feels because it doesnt burn and I dont have course or ugly arm hair to be fair. I know that sounds weird but its fine and just lays there! My fiance doesn't have a problem with it and I still shower and wear deodorant ...SO BACK OFF ! SIGH! I remeber when Paula Cole preformed in the 90's and showed off her armpit hair ..people freaked . see this is the thinking that is ridiculous!

"last man on earth"

I watched "last man on earth" in the middle of reading "I am legend" in hopes that it would give me some much needed redemption from suffering through the will smith adaption titled "I am legend". I have to say that I love this version but can not help but be puzzled and angry that i have somehow managed to almost completely rip off a movie and book that until very recently I have not seen or read. I can't help but wonder if i watched this movie as a child and it snuck into my sub conscience.
All that aside I am very pleased with this movie! Now I have to come up with a different story idea!

I must say it is refreshing to see this woman on t.v. and in music videos. I dig her style and her attitude..love me some awesome chicks....
