I watched "last man on earth" in the middle of reading "I am legend" in hopes that it would give me some much needed redemption from suffering through the will smith adaption titled "I am legend". I have to say that I love this version but can not help but be puzzled and angry that i have somehow managed to almost completely rip off a movie and book that until very recently I have not seen or read. I can't help but wonder if i watched this movie as a child and it snuck into my sub conscience.
All that aside I am very pleased with this movie! Now I have to come up with a different story idea!
It's a great story. I still encourage you to finish the book, because there's a lot this one still doesn't capture... although it's as close as anything has come.
ReplyDeleteSadly, that ideas one gathered from the ether being snatched up or already existing is one of the frustrations of creativity.

I'd say live with it a while. See if you get new ideas for that story. Sometimes a person can find ways to shift their old stuff into something new... even better... and if not, move onto the next thing.
